This week I listened to Inside Talking, and all I have to say is that is was ahhhhhhmazing. It was by far one of the best radio shows I have heard.
The overall idea for the show was really interesting. I liked that it highlighted each character individually and gave them an authentic persona. Not only was the development of each guest an elaboration, but the fluidity of conversation was so real. The whole thing sounded like a genuine conversation. There was stumbling, laughing, joking, all typical aspects of a real talk show. I loved that it sounded improvised, and maybe it was! It was just a natural production and I think that is such an important part of the creative process.
Additionally, the sound effects flowed seamlessly and really developed the tone of the show. It sounded like a professionally broadcasted radio show. You guys are impressive. The crowd laugher ALWAYS fell at exactly the right time and the heckling and whistles thrown in on random comments really brought the feeling of a talk show.
It sounded like everyone had fun making it and it was a blast to listen to. I now I laughed out loud multiple times. It was witty, spontaneous, and entertaining. This is definitely a radio show I would consistently listen to. I don’t even have any critiques or adjustments to add other than it made me want to go back and super edit our own radio show.
Here is my tweet along with the show:
